Botanical Vegan Mascara
With the nourishing addition of argan oil, this mascara helps darken lashes. Can also be used as a eye brow paint, or even crazier deep smokey makeup paint. Drys on application.
Directions: Use bottle to dab mascara brush up and down in mascara to find your perfect coating consistency. Apply to lashes + allow a few moments to set + let dry. Comes off easily with water or a floral toner like POUR HUG. Oil is also another great way to remove eye makeup, you might like the Herbal Cleansing Oil for this. The consistency is more on the liquid side than paste side. For sensitive eyes, please try a little test at first to see if your lashes / eyes agree with the formulation. The mascara may have a few earth bits of clay present in the consistency.

Ingredients: aloe vera gel (made with leaves that I grew w/o chemicals and processed), kaolin clay (Hydrated aluminum silicate), activated charcoal powder from coconut (Cocos nucifera), argan oil* (Argania spinosa), supercritical CO2 extracted rosemary* (Rosmarinus officinalis), olive oil* (Olea europaea) + love. *purveyed certified organic ingredients
aloe vera selection: for this mascara you have the option to have it made with my own pure homegrown/handmade aloe vera gel or purchased cold pressed aloe vera gel (whole leaf filtered with a tiny bit of citric acid (from fermented sugar) carrageenan (from dried seaweed) and potassium sorbate (from berries from the mountain ash plant variety)). The difference is the shelf life. This mascara made with my own aloe vera gel has a shorter shelf life (1-2 months) then the aloe vera gel I purchase from a supplier (3-6 months). Preference comes down to if you prefer pure aloe vera or aloe vera with a few natural preservatives.
storage tips: since plant shadow mascara is made with Aloe vera gel, please keep stored in the fridge when not in use. For best results keep tightly sealed and out of direct sunlight - it will dry out if left open too long because of the natural ingredients. After each use wipe the twisty top part of the tube before sealing wand back on to avoid flakes.
eco packaging tips: cleanse the reusable makeup wand between uses. The glass vial does not have a rubber stopper insert at the top. Use the wand to experiment and create consistency.
