This conditioner is for cleansing and the peppermint is strong. I got this with the rose shampoo and im just unsure they work for POC curly hair. They dried out my scalp and hair. My texture was just not right after a week of use and I went back to commercial shampoo and conditioner. Unsure if I need to push through a threshold and maybe after a month? But I think a more conditioning conditioner or different formulas are needed for different hair textures.
So I have been wanting to stop using store-bought hair care. I have switched to a bar shampoo quite a bit ago, but I have had difficulty getting rid of the thick store-bought conditioners.
However, this conditioner is fantastic and one of the best natural conditioners I have tried! It definitely stands up next to store-bought conditioners (at least in my opinion).
Although the top is for foaming soap, this will not be foamy. In fact, you will probably think you didn't get anything more than extra water from your shower spray. It is super duper watery. I have long given up trying to put it in my hands and rub it in. You will need more than you think you do, just on account of its wateriness.
The best way to apply it is to hold your hair (slightly squeezed out) in one hand and spray with the other. Try to lightly spray the top of your head as well; this will help with fly-aways later. It will generally be okay if you rinse it out, but it works the best as a leave-in conditioner.
Your hair will feel smooth even when freshly dried and damp. This is the conditioner's best quality; your hair will feel great when you touch it, not the gritty or squeaky feeling you might get with other natural soaps.
It does help with knots, although you may still need a de-tangler if you are prone to knotty hair. Static will happen if you don't lightly spray all over your head (but I also live in the desert, so I would recommend you spot-check with you're area's humidity).
SUPER NATURAL CONDITIONER
For dry to normal hair... a very gentle hair conditioner that is purely made from plants. A nourishing base of nettles, horsetail leaves and chamomile flowers merge to form a rich infusion for the hair. Aloe vera and avocado oil are added to give the hair a smooth finish after using the Herbal Shampoo. The minty fresh scent is amazing. A vegan creation made with organic and wild harvested ingredients.
This conditioner is very different from store bought conditioners. Recommended to those open to trying new things. It is not thick like the commercial kinds, instead a more liquid soap consistency. Excellent for those trying to be as natural as possible. If you use hair products like hair spray, this conditioner will not do the job. It's a really gentle creation.
Directions: Shake well before use. After shampooing, apply directly to top of head down to the ends of your hair. Rinse or leave in. May also be used to soothe sunburns. Apply directly to freshly cleansed skin. Best if kept stored out of direct sunlight. Please note if there are any allergies to the chamomile family of plants Asteraceae. Discontinue use if any irritation occurs.
